Hi all
Looking for the cheapest place around. Wife has a student card so possible to get student edition. Home edition is fine, any suggestions? Or just go to Harveys. |

Is the wife a student at QUT by any chance? free software downloads from their website, which is where i got mine from.
Otherwise, you can happily ignore my post. |

Is the wife a student at QUT by any chance? It's not limited to QUT buddy. There are other universities in QLD too: Current Australian Institutes subscribed to MSDNAA http://www.microsoft.com/australia/msdn/students/msdnaa.aspx |

perhaps he meant qut offer the software for download whereas the others might not, rather than the fact that you can only get it free if you go to qut?

You can also get a copy of XP Pro upgrade (practically full install, I assume you've got an old 98 laying around) for about $100 at various office works around the place.
I got it, and it's nice to own windows xp. Windows update without the hacks. |

It was like christmas had come early when I got the email from my Uni about the MSDNAA. Doesn't allow me access to office, but I won't complain.
I highly recommend chasing it up. Also AFAIK the download is hosted by your Uni (atleast in my case), so it's (hopefully) fast. last edited by ccl at 09:42:00 30/Aug/06 |
