The rules....

Pick a win 3 point.
Pick a draw 4 points.
Draw but not picked 2 points
Loss 1 points
Roundof 16 and beyond win is 4 points, loss is 1 point.
(no draws possible in round of 16 and beyond)
Bonus of 5 points for getting everything right in a round.
Late start gets the average result - 4
Non submission get the lowest score for the round.

So even if you join late its no big drama (you are still in the running so to speak).
Or if you miss a round you atleast get some points..

ps. I can change the points for tipping up until tonight. So if you have any suggestions lets hear them.

Make picking a draw only two points they are way to common to be worth 4.

But if you pick a win and it's a draw then you get 2 points anyway, so there's no advantage to picking draw and getting it correct with fpot's change. Am I reading that right? Maybe just make it 3 points so if you get it right you get 3 regardless of whether it's a win or draw?

Make it so if you pick a win and it's a draw you get 1 point then.

Also -100 points for tipping against australia.

First 2 games weren't too hard to pick anyway.

England vs Paraguay will show a few variations in the tipping results. For those that picked England to win, just remember they lost to northenisland in the qualifiers.

But then Paraguay lost to Equador 2-5 in the qualifiers.

I don't think I should change the rules now. Personally I think they are fine.
There is a small bonus to picking a draw as there should be.

Yeah, can someone please exaplain to me what a

"Draw but not picked 2 points" means... is that how casa and v ended up with 14 points overall?

I guess it means if you pick a side to win:
They win - 3 points
It's a draw - 2 points
They lose - 1 point

On the otherhand if you pick a draw:
Draw - 4 points
A win one way or the other - 1 point

Is that right?

Well there goes that crappy Maths theory that was posted here a week or so ago.

Just got home from a weekend in London. Man you should have seen the streets after England lost... people were crying in pubs and everything. Wifey and i went out again later after the French won and the froggies were going Ballistic, they had basically taken over Piccadilly circus and were all over the Eros statue. Always good to see manically depressed englishmen and over-exhuberant frenchmen together on a saturday night, but..... the best was to come.
Some bright spark decided to orginise a HUGE gay pride ralley in Soho and then have a concert in Picadilly on the same night...bwahahahaha.
