Ok, posting on here as a favour to the wife's boss. They (Australian Consolidated Press- Magazines) up here in Brisvegas have used a guy in the past to help with 'in-office' general computer and I.T issues as they arose. Some of the stuff is so piss easy to do I have helped them out from time to time with just simple software related setup issues. They have no local IT support in Bris...so anyway my wife suggested to the boss they have someone on their books that they can call when issues arise (the other chap they used has moved on apparently.) and get some local and therefore quick help when needed.

The info I have about the job scenario is:-

1. that you must have an ABN number so they can invoice you.
2. Be available on short notice to attend, but I expect that may be same day or next day attendance;
3. at this stage the boss reckons he will pay in the vicinity of $100 an hour;
4. you might have to liaise with their main IT support section in Sydney if and when the need arises.

Seems like a doddle as most of the time they just have issues like um ah my computer won't print, or doh... what does this button do ect...

Might be ideal for someone who wants to make a couple of hundred bucks every now and then.
