What's so funny? I've got a 20" iMac running BF2 - get 80-100FPS generally, drops to 60-80 in firefights. This is at full res (1650x1200) with medium-high detail. Do you demand pictures do you?

Those mac ads are awesome, it's just a shame they're allowed to defame windows with misinformation like that on public TV. Apple's attitude is still cool though.

if mac's were the same price as pc's youd see less features and more problems.

its called balance..

hahahahaha well said

edit: what's brilliant about these ads exactly? they look like a desperate cry for attention with nothing really clever about them. mac users saying "Hi, you suck." is like toweleeeie saying "You're a towel."

Yeh these ads were getting a lot of air time on US TV. They're pretty good.

Also, lots and lots of Apple laptops over there (I'm now in London) - more than I've seen anywhere else, ever.

The Intel CPU + bootcamp is really good incentive to make the switch now. I'm very tempted, but I don't know if I can deal with the learning curve of a whole new OS - but if I do, I know I can have Windows there in the background if I need it. I've heard that new Bootcamp will allow running both OSes at the same time?!?!?! but that sounds like bulls*** to me.

Actually, Macs are pretty well designed most people, who are not retarded, can learn how to use one with some level of competency very quickly. In essence macs are designed for novice, intermediate and expert users, so if you can't learn fast there is something wrong.

This is opposed to Windows where there is no real middle ground from novice to expert (most people stay in novice mode) and *nix where there is no (real) novice mode.

Linux is getting better, but as fast as Mac and windows is getting worse as time goes on.

Seeing that anybody who has used a mac (recently) would know that there are in fact Mac viruses, some bad ones too, and that number is starting to rise with the popularity rise of macs. They'd also know that Macs can crash just as often as windows. Although, normally it's because of adobe products and not because the crash fairy is giving you a present.

I haven't had a 2000 or later system "hang" or "crash" or "random reboot" outside of severe hardware issues that were my own fault in the classical sense on me, well, since I started using the platform. I'm certainly not an advanced mac user, but a bad program crash in OSX seems to force a reboot most of the time on the macs I use. It seems odd they'd use that in the ad.

That CTRL-ALT-DEL comic takes the first thing that came to my mind (and I'm sure 90% of PC-using viewers') upon seeing the ad then runs the joke into the ground with the "suffering enough already" joke, along with the rest of panel 3. This is not atypical of a CTRL-ALT-DEL comic.

typo, why quote me if you're not going to address anything in my statement?

also, i leave this computer on for months at a time without a hitch ... linux users leave their systems for the same, so what exactly are mac users trying to prove here? that they don't know what they're talking about? and is this about software or hardware?

CTRALTDEL Comic better than ads.

Also, baby Ronald = Pennywise.

If you ever actaully read Stephen Kings IT you would know. It makes alot of sense.

Thats some freaky s***.

exo, where's your proof ?

dice, I just think they're clever and concise, although they might not be 100% accurate today, what f***ing advertising is ? If any of you can relate to the ads in any way, then there's obviously some substance to them.

typo, I dont think its accurate to say that mac's _really_ have a virus problem..

Id buy a mac, but I dont wanna.

As if that guy makes you wanna get a mac anyway, he always plays loser c***s in movies, so obviously he is a loser c*** and so is mac.

I'm very tempted

I've made the switch; Got a powerbook at the start of the year. Loving it.

Not that there's anything wrong with my PC, my mac just does everything I need, with less messing around. And..better. Hard to explain, but once I got the hang of how things work in an os x environment (how the desktop is used, app switching, spotlight/metadata, etc), I find it much more productive, and flexible. (buzzwords ahoy. But really.)

My PC serves as a HTPC/gaming/file server box now, though haven't used it for a few months now.

I reckon it's a good thing that apple are making themselves better known for OS X. Their stuff is excellent for what every day people use computers for. And everything else too. (Except gaming..the hardcore will always have a PC; for everyone else there's bootcamp..or a wii/ps3/360)
