Hey all, long time no post (and read, and nuke).

I'm taking some extended holidays to have a bit of a break from the internets and computers and am taking the time to do a bit of travelling. Just spent two awesome (freezing) weeks in Japan and have recently arrived in California - near San Francisco at the moment but going to LA for E3 next week.

Then its on to New York, then to London, then France and finally Germany for the World Cup. I haven't actually got tickets to any games but me and a mate are basically going to follow Australia around from city to city and see if we can scam our way in. Alternatively if anyone wants to donate me a thousand Euro I can just buy a ticket online. Thx.

I am trying to keep my site updated with some of the more interesting things that I've been doing so if anyone is really keen to find out what I've been doing, am doing, and will be doing, have a read.

Weather here in Pacifica, CA is awesome at the moment and I've just gotten back from a great day walking around the city and taking a brief cruise around the bay. I am eating everything in SIGHT, the food is so cheap and plentiful and tastes so awesome, no wonder Americans are so fat. After being in Japan where there's about 10 kilos of excess body weight across the whole Japanese population it is a bit of a shift.

Anywho, hope all is well back home. I have almost no idea what is going on in the gaming world but am trying to keep a vague eye on things - haha, another BF2 booster pack.

Also, Xbox 360s cost like $300 in Japan, including hard drive. New.

nice work trog, thats an fkn awesome travel plan youve got there. i should have got my ass into gear and done something similar for the world cup. now i'm jealous :(

you been to santa barbara before? i recommend going there for a night on your way down to LA. there is some kickass nightlife along state street due to the many colleges around the area. get yo'self some UCSB poontang!

you think the food portions are big in california, you should stop by texas... its just awesome and ridiculous at the same time.

ps weather here is absolutely perfect too, so nerrr

For anyone that cares, I'm now in New York. Updated site with a little of info about it but man, this place rocks way more than I was expecting. Of course coming from LA any place would look good. Didn't do a lot today due to hotel shenanigans getting in the way, but walked around north manhatten quite a bit and saw the Seinfeld cafe which was vaguely cool.

tee hee

Man the food is so hard to resist; had my first and I hope only average meal - just picked some random pizza joint instead of going with my usual system of just walking along until I find a packed restaurant. Man, it was so oily and disgusting. I ate a bit then went next door and bought some awesome Pepperidge Farm cookies - these things are f***ing great (I can justify eating heaps of s*** because I'm walking like a billion kilometers every day).

yeah LA sux0rs. try living there for 7 months, its a tuff town but IM TUFFER.
its a place where you really have to know the good places to go, and how to avoid all the s*** otherwise you just get overwhelmed.

i would love to go to NY. you should go check out a yankees game for sure!

belated update!

I have been to London and am now in Paris (have been here for maybe 6 days).

London was surprisingly good, I would have liked more time there except it's expensive as f*** because of the dirty pound. Lots of cool museums and I saw Harry Kewell walking around the streets of Islington where I was staying which was cool.

Paris seems awesome so far. It is hands-f***ing-down winning the 'city with the most beautiful girls' prize, except unfortunately they all smoke. Everyone smokes. All the time.

All these cities are so OLD and make Brisbane and Sydney seem like they're just newb cities, which of course they are in comparison to the rich history of most euro cities.

Anyway, still having a blast. Trying to keep up with the aussies news; looks like we're doing it old-school style in East Timor at the moment - hopefully our boys stay safe amidst what looks like a combination of guerillas and the general criminal f***headedry of young idiots with machetes. I dont think I'll see much more news about it though because CNN and BBC are basically only covering Brad Pitt's new baby now.

Paris is cool because of the lack of high rise buildings.

i am now in caen having spent a couple days here - just after the dday anniversary. did a great but small tour yesterday going to St Mere Eglise, Pointe du Hoc, Utah and Omaha beaches plus a couple other places. In Caen at the moment about to go to the memorial then back to Paris for the night, then off to Amsterdam for the weekend. Then back to Paris (it f***ing rules) for a few nights then to munich to try and scam our way into the aussie game against brazil.

No - I am actually still in France! I was in Amsterdam for the weekend and my stupid train was delayed coming back, so I actually missed most of the first half of the game by the time I'd made it somewhere with a TV. It was a pretty awesome second half though. Would have been a f***ing great game to be at and wish I'd been in Germany, but I decided to head over to Amsterdam for the weekend to visit a friend.

Its so f***ing awesome being here (not just for the football, but f*** its nice being in the same timezone) - just being able to go "hey, I think I'll go to [insert name of awesome country here] for the weekend" and then jumping on a train and being there a couple hours later. Way cool.

Going to Germany on Friday to see if we can get into the Australia vs Brazil game. Man I can't wait til we smash those f***ers.
