A demo of EA's FIFA World Cup 2006 has been released. The demo offers a quick sample of the game playing as England, Germany, USA or Mexico. Download it locally from AusGamers. There's a few gameplay trailers, including this one between Brazil and Croatia (two teams in Australia's draw) which shows off some of the gameplay. Looks pretty good except if that's how Croatia's defence play IRL, they deserve to lose.

Ok just had a dig at it. It's fifa all over again, hardly anything reveloutionary, graphics weren't anything to gawk about either. But then again it's a FIFA demo, and to me most of their sports games are merely about anually incrementing a number in the title.

I might be blind, but I couldn't find the keys listed anywhere? I needed a sprint button. Trick button was shift from the looks of it.

I am waiting for fifa 2007 for my next fifa purchase.

although I am tempted to get the wc version solely because it has the australian team in it and that may not happen again for another 30 years :P
