Hey, anyone on here going this year? I went in 2001 to see the last 500cc Oz GP and seeing the bike restrictions are changing again and it's Rossi's last year I thought I might make my way along to this one. Just wondering if anyone goes regularly to motogp or the superbikes and have any suggestions for where to stay/what type of pass to get. Last time I went with my family and we stayed in Cranbourne but this time I might stay on the island. Plus we were on the grandstand in Siberia for three days but this time I might just get a general pass. It is always good to have a seat though, to come back to after walking around the track. Cheers for any opinions.

Speeds have risen in leaps and bounds since the introduction of the 990cc MotoGP four-strokes in 2002. Long since past the 200mph mark, at certain tracks the MotoGP bikes, unencumbered with downforce aerodynamics, have recorded higher top speed figures even than F1 cars. They're moving down to 800cc from the current 990cc capacity as of next year. |
