Apparently, the hazy/smoky line coming off the palm tree is supposed to be a rare pic in and of itself. That lil squiggly is one of the negative charges that come up from the ground prior to the actual lightning strike. The guy who took this pic is really lucky that the main bolt came down the one it did an not the one on the tree with the *uplink* (for want of a better term)
