A demo for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth 2 has been released, giving you a taste of this upcoming real-time strategy game:

The demo allows gamers to choose from two of the three new factions in Battle for Middle-earth II (Goblins and Dwarves), and get used to them on a pair of maps covering a tutorial and single-player skirmish mode.

You can download it here from AusGamers Files; it's only about 1.5Gb in size.

Medieval 2: Total War will be better imo.

With demos getting so large, perhaps there should be as much focus on reviewing demos as there is retail titles.

bigpond is only gamearena and other telstra sites.
telstra servers is free aswell.

so thats a no to ausgamers, but Trog usually puts a link for the same file on the ausgamers file page that links to the telstra version anyway.

demo is ok
i can't get into rts games anymore though, so i'm still gonna have to say it sucks, but it's probably good for what it is
