A minor update for World of Warcraft has been released, taking it to version 1.91 and correcting a few issues. Download the patch locally from AusGamers (it is only 1mb).

Ok this patch has messed up more things than its fixed (at least on proudmoore).
Ive been getting disconnected more frequently and it seems that when people are running around, they seem to jump instead of smothly running by,which is a pain in the arse!!

You should start a new character on Eldre Thalas and join me.

just to be anally retentive about it - the patch is actually 1.9.1 - 1.91 would have meant blizz somehow released 82 patches for the damned game in the last week :P

on the upside - another warrior desync charge bug fixed. yay!

How about you start up a new character in my realm. There's no way I'm restarting from scratch now.

Only if your on a high pop server, and even then you can only move them to a designated low pop server.

We're getting some of the jumpy movement stuff, though its not too bad, thank god they fixed the desync issues they created in 1.9.0 though, it was becoming quite frustrating playing my warrior.

Yeah, theres a 30 page thread about it. I got to about page 12 before my head exploded, reminded me why I never read the WoW forums.

Checkmate!

Last night I went up 2 levels. Finally finished two damn hard quests with the help of some random guy I teamed up with and I got that kick-ass staff I had my eye on. The only way I'll swap servers is when I start a new character.

ok, im so cranky right now! I buy wow, based on what it says on the box, (it comes with the first 30 days free). Then i discover if i am not going to use a credit card i still have to purchase a game card, so there goes another 40 dollars, and i dont know what happend to those 30 free days blizzard!

Start updating with the blizzard downloader only to discover its a piece of crap, go and grab the patch of gamearena, which turned out to be very old!, sit on the blizzard updater until i finally found the link for the 1.9 patch and 1.91 now.

So these local patch downloads will patch any version of WOW to the latest is this correct? (apart from the 1.9 to 1.91 patch of course).

if so i find this strange because then people will have to download a massive file each time :(.

If you use a game card to create your account you still get your free 30 days, plus the 60 days from the game card.

Once you have downloaded the patches, you'll actually find the files in your WOW folder,so you can easily copy them to a disk and save them for if you ever have to reinstall.

proudmore is PVE, why would you want to play on a non PVP server?

because pvp sucks, think of it as a new outlet for all the CS kiddies who have grown up and are looking for something else to do.

True it can be frustrating getting ganked at times, but the fun far outweighs the frustration in my experience. You're missing out on a large part of the WoW experience if you're not going PvP.

how the f*** are all of your worries over if you're the only one who has pvp enabled?
Part of PVP is f***ing over horde when you're off questing. Its not the same when people can just decide not to be fighting the opposite side.

So yeah. You PVe kids are pussies :D

Tanaka love!

I'm On Twisting Nether, lvl 40. I never really got into my proudmore character because I was still a super wow noob and did what my college mates told me wow wise...
Twisting Nether is PVPRP. I assume people RP, though I've only been hit on my sleezy paladins when playing my priestess <_<. Anyway, that doesn't matter. Its medium pop by now AFAIK, but mostly full of noobs according to the mighty Khel.

If you're alliance, drop me a line. Alastrine: Probably one of 5 Disc Priests below 60 on the server ;)

Ewww...a RP server,i really dont think i could handle playing on a RP server.Whats that like? I knew one guy who played on a RP server and told me that people got bagged out and abused if they spammed general chat with quest questions etc.

Haha! I think its only the hardcore guilds that RP on Twisting nether. All the town/city channels are RP free, apart from the random 'aye' here and there.
The fun thing with RP realms is that you can roleplay whenever you want and most people will go along with it. Otherwise, its fairly standard; full of lols, quest questions and all that Jazz.

LOL. There's some truth in that.
Epic mounts were designed for the sole purpose of chasing down poor randoms with non epics.

.. and to give you a reason to keep p(l)aying once you reach 60. Noy that won't be getting my epic cat just as soon as I can :) And considering I'm a human mage, I got some way to go :)

Heh. Everyone wants a Cat. I'm considering Getting a Ram for my human Priestess. That would be rather cool.
