Yeah, I had a friend of mine who just graduated. As far as I am aware (and she knows) there isn't a problem with deferring for a year. I think it's only in your final year (4th year) when you have prac that you have to study year-long and not take time off.

If I remember correctly, you're not in 4th year yet so I don't think you've got anything to worry about. If you want to double check, give the SBS Faculty a quick call, or check on the net (go to: www.uq.edu.au and type "B Arts/B Education" into the search box, and that should then have a link on the left hand side of the page that tells you about the requirements for the course, program rules, etc).

Yeah, again, sorry, it's just the idea of meeting someone on the internet and going out with them kinda freaks me out. You all seem like really nice people (as nice as the people I would normally go out with anyway ;) ) but I just don't know if that's what you're really like irl. The internet can be a mask for some ppl. It's moreso just a safety thing for me.
