Is it possible to assign the media controls so that it controls iTunes instead of Media Player? I can't see how I'm meant to do it.` |

Actually, it works when I don't have media player open, but it doesn't work if I actually have iTunes active... as in it works if iTunes is just playing in the background (which is awesome) but when I open iTunes it stops working...

It's called a Microsoft "Intelligent" Keyboard, but it's made by Microsoft. Isn't that false advertising??

yeah I had this trouble. I could control winamp with it but if winamp wasn't in the foreground, like say I was playing quake or cs or something, it wouldn't work. Almost the opposite problem to what you have. I know I used to control winamp from within cs with my keyboard, but that might have been the bigw $20 keyboard I have with media keys on it.
Probably doesn't help you much but I guess this is just another post voting ms's keyboards are ass for controlling anything but ms programs. edit: you do have intellitype installed? edit2: ok, I got it working. I can change tracks in cs using the media keys, "media" starts winamp (maybe that's the key to it all? no pun intended). I'm using intellitype pro 2.2 that came with the keyboard. Winamp can be minimized in the systray or it can be in focus and the media keys work just fine. I can't test it with itunes because imho it's s*** and I don't have it :) try an earlier version of intellitype. last edited by whoop at 15:07:50 27/Dec/05 |
