yes, so my video card died like a month ago and i am just now getting around to buying a new one :p
so it's either of the two mentioned, 6800gt or x800 pro - what are you thoughts? also linkies to reviews/comparisons would be wonderful and muchly appreciated :) |

it'd be a patrol or landcruiser or better yet a wrangler (always wanted one of those - even tho they are kinda toy 4wds) |

There was another thread about this lot all that long ago.
Basically, 6800GT has pixel shader 3.0, where the X800s do not. Also, a lot of my friends who have bought ATI cards (9600s etc) have been having heating issues with this weather, which makes me more than a little wary of ATI. |

yeah i am staying clear of ATI, my THIRD 9700pro has fried itself this summer and its been out of warranty for a while now so time for an nvidia

oh and ill probably only get a 6600gt ... not worth spending a lot of money for a non pci x card

i got a 9600xt, and the fan died, so i installed a new 80mm fan on it. now it runs so much more cooler.
nvidia = vacuum cleaner attached to a video card. |
