Hey all,
My parents want/need a digital camera, now just wondering what you guys think would be sufficient. They don't want to spend too much money not like me and my ixus 50 :D, they're looking at spending about $200 not including a memory card. I was thinking maybe the Canon A410 or something, but i'm a bit weary of the longevity of AA batteries. My dad keeps asking me what about a kodak as they're pretty cheap. We've seen a Kodak Easyshare Z700 from Wow for about $196.00 click or the canon A410 So any information whether Kodak are good cameras? and any other camera suggestions? cheers. |

I have a canon powershot A75 which I like, takes 4AA batteries. I have rechargable batteries that for the ammount of time I actually use the camera, last about 3 or so months before needing a recharge (I rarely ever use the camera) and take only a couple of hours to charge. I have a kodak camera that bites as much cock as a homosexual dragon the size of the earth. That's a whole lot of cock. Batteries, any kind, last about 5 minutes in it, takes crap photos, no zoom. If you're gonna go kodak make sure it has optical zoom.
want me to take a picture of something with the a75? |

yeh i know canon are relatively good cameras. although i do feel differently towards them now after my experiences with them, my old 1 year old ixus IIs came up with a dead pixel that showed up on photos. so i took it back to canon under the warranty and they replaced with the an ixus 50, i was stoked. funny thing is that the same problem happened to my sisters Ixus IIs aswell about 2 weeks ago. Therefore my parents are a bit worried about a canon, but i seriously can't imagine kodak to be any better lol.

ben, Kodak like massive amounts of penis.
I'd consider pretty much anything before a kodak. The canon would be a lot better in image quality... but I bet you knew I'd say that. www.dpreview.com www.stevesdigicams.com |

benneth, wanna see dead pixels? should see this when my camera's ccd corroded (or at least had moisture damage when the epoxy degraded) :P at least sony listed it as a manufacturing defect and fixed it for free (but the stupid agent still charged me $60 to diagnose the problem...)
