The first trailer for Lionhead's Black and White 2 has been released, offering a glimpse at what we can expect to see in this sequel to their original god-sim-with-giant-animals. The first Black and White received mixed reviews (here's my take), but certainly had a lot of potential - hopefully the next game in the series will bring back some of that classic Molyneux/Bullfrog gameplay. You can download the trailer locally from AusGamers.

But the 1st one was as boring as World of Whorecraft...

Yeah, I'm a bit worried by the long-term side of gameplay - ie, having to put long spurts into playing it as opposed to being able to have short games.

It looks cool on the surface, but I dunno... gameplay could be a letdown.

This game has potential, the first one was good (kinda), it just had so many little frustrating bugs, aspects.

Mmmm Bullfrog, people just don't make games like they used to.

I found the controls and camera bit akward to use before I really got used to in in #1, also the computer turned invincible halfway through a level, so I sort of lost interest. Don't get me wrong, I really liked it, and hopefully #2 should be a hellofalot better.

I tried to get into this game, got a few levels in, me and mate decided we should try a battle.

Most frustratingly stupidly f***ing homosexual faget of a game. Holy gay it was s***.

Yeah, I hated the first one, I actually bought it. And I bought Tribes 2 on the same day! I call that day "Black Tuesday", it was a day that shall live in infamy.

bring back some of that classic Molyneux/Bullfrog gameplay

I wish they'd just hurry up and bring back some of that Bullfrog gameplay by making a new Syndicate game.

Syndicate ruled so hard.

Syndicate Wars could have been good, but wasn't. The weapons were cool though. Satelite rain for the win.

Populous is still one of my all-time favourite games. Syndicate was f***ing awesome too. Bullfrog just ruled.

Speaking of Syndicate, that would make an awesome co-op FPS. Doing missions with people, upgrading your arms and legs for the next mission, walking through a Colorado street parade with a Persuadatron and a Gauss Gun... >:->

Hell yeah, Populous rocked hard. Sacrifice was another game I loved a lot. I'm looking forward to Black and White 2, CTD had it spot on when he said the first one had potential but had some frustrating aspects. I also agree with eXemplar with how the AI turned extra-hard within a mission, very frustrating :(

But the new one looks good, seems they've put a lot of effort into it, can't wait.
