Oh well, We've been the best team over the last 4 seasons, anything can happen, as long as we make it into the 8, and its only like week 6 or something, its not the end of the world.

It is true that a lot of people have jumped on the bandwagon, but I've been following Brisbane since they were the Bears and they did a good job of building a reasonable supporter base before they were dominant. Also despite the score there were some good signs. The linking through midfield was good at times it was just the long disposals that let them down badly. Bring back Brown and with a big hard running focal point up front that could change, then the confidence will come back. Will the Lions dominate at any stage this year, almost certainly not. Could they build up towards a good finals campaign, it's highly possible.

I sort of agree, BUT, Brisbane just doesn't give a f*** about AFL in general. Of course more people are gonna sit up and notice if we are winning, but the team still didn't work up the hype the sport deserves. Now interest levels will just flatten back down.

i agree completely billy, even tho the reds and broncos have had a few off seasons lately the public still supports them, lions only got support cos of the flags.

I have only been to a match once in Melbourne and about 5/6 times in Brisbane and Brisbane are the worst winners I have come across. They are your typical support your team by kicking the other teams while they are down, rather than just supporting your team

Demons for 5 years now. No jumping off the bandwagon for me. I didn't even know the demons were a team until hten which makes it even more hilarious. The only downside is that it is my ex's team.

Only two good things I ever got out of that period in my life. Hope and the Demons!

The broncos and league in general lost a lot of support to rugby and AFL at the time of super league and that hasn't fully come back yet.

my thoughts exactly. Nothing worse than sitting next to some f***** who knows nothing about the game yelling 'ball' whenever someone gets tackled and generally making an arsewit of themselves. Not even safe in the members these days. Luckily I sit in chairmans circle usually these days ;)
