I bought some headphones ( Phillips SBC Hp840 ) and i broke the cable, the cable didn't go in right in the first place, it would in there but if i moved my head it would come out slitely and only come out one ear. So i pushed too hard on the cable and snapped it.

Where would i go to get another cable, since its detachable and all, would i have to order it from phillips? Or just go to the shop i bought it?

I know alot will say "why didn't you get HP890's?" and my reason is, I went to Brisbane car sound and ordered them 3 weeks before christmas. So they had to order them from phillips and they stuffed me around ( sent me 2 different types of BS headphones ). Then i waited till easter next year hoping for the best when they sent me the wrong headphones again. So i told them to shove the order up there ass. I then went to Chandlers and there were HP840's sitting there for $130 and thought, f*** it and got them.

What are the HP840's like? Similar to the HP 890s? I went to a few places lookin for the 890s...nowhere had em :( Pretty sure they are outta date now :(

Yeh i went looking ages for 890's but no one had them, so yeh got them.

There not bad, good for gaming and music, deep bass. Don't know how they compare to 890's since i've never used them before ;).

I had some half decent speakers and had the subwoofer sitting on the floor. Got angry when i couldn't get the equilizer right and caved in the woofer :S

go back to the shop they should have the cable for yah. if they dont call up Phillips Australia and tell them what u need and they should be able to help u out

Sounds like you just need a regular male to male 3.5mm headphone jack cable thing. Go to HN/DSE/wherever and they should have one.

Do people just forget about using commone sence when they come into this place

i have a pair of Sennheiser HDR-65's and the u bracket broke about 3 months ago. i ogt onto sennheiser last week and they are sending me a new bracket tomorrow for $10. so year get onto panasonic to get the replacments part.

BTW they wanted $33 to install the bracket for me.

If the 840's are the same as the 890's (which I got) jacks then the male end that plugs into the headphones is a lot smaller then the 3.5mm jack

i got these headphones for $110 from tandy right, and i got a 2 year NO QUESTIONS ASKED REPLACEMENT warranty.

its SO f***ing good, i have taken back like 6 pairs already :D~
