The NDA for all bodies harboring information relating to Half-Life 2 was lifted today. Already a number of extra-nifty snippets of information have been exposed, most of which thanks to PC Gameplay magazine's interview with Gabe Newell. Here's a run-down:
- All objects in the game world will be influenced by the Havok physics system.
- The movement speed of HL will be retained in this sequel, with some extra suprises thrown in.
- Expect drivable vehicles in both single and multiplayer.
- The editor (titled Hammer, successor to Worldcraft) will be included with retail, and will be an all-in-one development tool for everything from maps to entire mods.
- As expected, TF2 will be using the HL2 engine, and it "will arrive soon".
Even with all of this information being made public, there's apparently still a whole lot more that Valve are keeping behind closed doors until release.

It's nice to see they will be supporting the community from the out set of the game with dev tools being included with the game on sale :)

Take the < and > symbols out of your nick dude, they're screwing up and making your name not display properly (or actually, not display at all).

Ive got a rant. I was playing that warcraft3 server side mod for CS (meh) and the f***ing admin was cheating. This was on an ozforces server and the admin was cheating. What is the world coming to man... JESUS.

We need a new game fast, one where cheating is DAMN hard and I just reall really hope that they do a great job of totally wiping out cheats in HL2. :(
