Topic: What's Your longest Gaming Stint?

Inspired by the death late last year of two gamers in Cyber Cafe's in Asia, I am doing a short doco on how long people can take playing for. I myself have many a night found the proverbial cock-a -crowing as another night has sped past lost in games. I am asking anyone who is interested, what's your longest stint? Plus, do you think the amazing quality of games today increases the risk of us burning out? Any responses greatly appreciated. (I am a film and TV student at the college of the arts student in Melbourne)

about 1.5 yrs again my average was 12 hrs+ and only ever gets that high through the holidays.
i hate the feeling you get after you stay up for so long. no-matter how much coffee i drank it only prevented the s*** like state you get.
anyway i switched from coffee to tea:- its much better for ya too :)

Ive been on my computer for about 12 hours straight, but actually im not sure about how much time of that i spent gaming. My longest would probably be around 3 hours, after that i start to get bad headaches which isn't worth it.

Btw thats pretty freakish how peope go above normal healthy limits ending in death. Wouldn't they start to feel a bit down after spending that much time at the desk, like 48hours? For cause of death on their certificate it should say 'progamer' or something.

My longest gaming session was yesterday at WALAN. From 11:30am on saturday to about 4pm on sunday(~28 hours), only stopping to eat food, drink and toilet. But when I got home I had about 17 hours sleep so its all good.

I once played Wonderboy in Monsaterland on the Sega Master system 2 for 2 days straight until i finished it.. Man I was tired as hell.. That damn game went in circles and circles but finally i beat the sucker.. Well IT was more like 1 day and finished it about 4pm the next day.. They don't make games like they used to.

Once I played a game of Civ2 for *fifty* hours straight, if you don't include a half hour nap and about an hour for various meal and toilet breaks. I don't think I won, but damn it was fun.

Probably about 14 hours straight with just toilet brakes at LAN.

and probably about 10-12 hours by myself, playing civ 2and 3 or medieval.
