Ok, look at my sig, see al the white around the edges? i Cant make the background color blue cus there are two "blues" in the forums.. so do i make it transparent or is there a magical solution? Thanx

If you are using photoshop, just select the white area and press delete. Because it is a .gif, it should make it transparent.

i didn't ask anyone to DO the sig for me, i was just asking if anyone could tell me how to fix the edges?

FFS

A) fire up photoshop
C) create a new image with "transparency" selected
D) copy across your image into the new document
E) using magic wand, set the tollerance level anywhere from 16-64 depending on the outcome you get and select the background bits. do not use anti aliasing.
F) once you have your selection press delete, you should see the white/gray check background
G) save your image as a GIF

you might also find it good to fill in the background with black first before doing step E, and this time using the antialiasing on the fill tool
