Basically, each state, Queensland and Victoria respectively will be holding a Counter-Strike Preliminary. The top Team from each preliminary event will be flown to the alternate state to participate for $2000 prize money, with all travel and accomodation expenses paid. For the first event, the top Victorian team will be flown to Queensland to participate against the Queensland team(s).

100 Counter-Strike teams will be required from each state as participation. Any and all Queensland teams interested in participation are to register and/or seek enquiries from myself. Victorian teams interested in participation are to register and/or seek enquiries from Michael Scott/Leviathan.

Promoters capable of gathering 10 or more teams for the event ( advertising and telling them to participate on our behalf ) will be rewarded $1000. This bonus will be exclusive to the first 2 promoters, only. Once again, whether interest is involved in participation, promotion or assistance, dont hesitate to contact us.

Plans are being made, and I have scheduled meetings with Chris/Agamemnon from the Bunker in regards to venue and details, however, at this point in time, preliminaries will be going ahead at the following locations on the following dates:

QLD: The Bunker, Queen Street Mall, Brisbane, June 22-23.
VIC: N2C, Bourke Street, Melbourne (midcity arcade), June 29-30.
FINALS: The Bunker, Queen Street Mall, July 7.

Queensland inqueries should be made to:
Event Co-ordinator
Name: Derek Reball
Contact #: REMOVED
E-mail: REMOVED

Victorian registrations and inqueries should be made to:
Organiser of Hive Interstate Tournament
Name: REMOVED
Contact #: REMOVED
E-mail: REMOVED

A website will be up in a matter of days with regards to a discussion and enquiry forum, constant updates and information to Hive, and registration details.

Feel free to ask any questions in reply to this post.

Thanks everyone, and I really hope to see some fantastic support from the gamers and promoters respectively.

Just a quick note;
Advertising and spread of information throughout the ausgamers community by admins and/or members would be extremely appreciated.

Thank you.

Wow that would cost a fair bit for airfares and accommodation for a whole clan from each state!

We dont promote commercial ventures; doing so is a disincentive for companies to buy advertising space

100 teams from Queensland (more realistically, Brisbane) is highly doubtful.

That name "Urufu" is quite familiar, didn't you have some dealings with the last WCG prelims in Brisbane?

yeah i have to agree with swat0r there. If u get 30 teams from qld i would be surprised because u will get the teams out there who are in it for the money and have the skills to do it. But then there is all the other clans who have no chance just paying for the big guys to win.

Sorry about the late reply, but here's what's been happening lately:

Phar/Silent/Dilbert:
I agree entirely. And I do advertise, this is simply one method. "Spreading the word."

Nathan:
No problem, just letting people know ;)

DeePer:
Yeah, I was the WCGau QLD Preliminary and National Finals Assistant Manager for Brood War and Counter-Strike. I only ask that you not let my previous affiliation with WCG have any diverse affect on your opinion of myself or Hive.
I was simply doing my job to the best of my ability; the 'dodge-up' with the Flights, etc, was none of my business entirely.

Any other questions are welcome.

Current registrations:
#31 teams.
