Sony blue disk seemed like a repackaging of DVD\'s to me, comparable storage capacity but in a much more proprietary format. Good to see the fluoro disks being mentioned again (thats what this article is about i think), they really seemed like a good idea. Terabyte storage is really the next step, remember how when cd\'s first came out (for use in computers) everyone thought they wouldn\'t be copied because 650meg was SOOO big? Terabyte disks seem like the same thing now but i\'m sure in 10 years or so i\'ll bet everyone will have a writer for one. |
