It seems the CroTeam are working hard to get the Serious Sam demo right. They have now released a third patch for the latest of their demotests, this one fixes issues with people with multiple ip addresses:

Some clients with both a LAN network card and a modem (or other kind of internet connection interface) installed, were able to connect, but would only see message "Trying to stabilize connection" and were unable to play.

The problem is now fixed.


2) multihomed server not visible in GameSpy Arcade

In some cases, when running a server on a multihomed system (with more than one IP address), if you forced a specific IP (as is neccessary behind some firewalls), the server would work, but wouldn't be visible in GameSpy Arcade browser.

The problem is now fixed.

Speaking of Naziplanet, by now you would have heard that they have just bought Mplayer, I find this very interesting, since it now makes them one of the largest around. But I guess we already knew this by the way content is being monopolised, and these days the only way you can get a file or demo is by downloading it from file planet or a fileplanet sanctioned mirror.

They don’t have one in Aus, and we could probably do it, however its nicer to be able to get what you want as opposed to having pure dir spamage. Doing it our way forces us to develop file databases that are as good as anything Gamespy could do.

I don’t know, I just find it annoying that just about every file is get it on fileplanet, and every article or interview seems to be done by them also, just gets kind of bland, variety is the spice of life as they say...
