Splash Damage,

I cant seem to get into that server as it says " Server Uses Protocal 45" which meens id say that it is using version 1.27 or higher. How can i set it up so i can use 1.17 for Rocket Arena, and 1.27 for QPong ?

Or will RA3 Server be changing to 1.27 soon ?

I just upgraded to 1.27 but have not tried connecting to ra3 yet.

As far as I know, if you back up your quake.exe, you will still be able to connect to 1.17 servers if you use the old exe after removing (or preferably renaming) pak4.pk3 and pak5.pk3 in the basq3 directory.

Those three files were the only changes from 1.17 to 1.27.

btw qpong is the most fun you can have with other males. :)

this is a batch file to switch btween 1.17 and 1.27..

for ra3 you have to remove all the files in your ra3 dir (less the folders/maps) and install

(for 1.27) http://qgl1.qgl.org:81/ftp//quake3/mods/ra3/ra314clsrv_beta.zip

i just made a copy of my quake3 and upped one of them to 1.27 , best of both worlds
