Not sure if you guys have spotted the deal yet, but Steam are running a 50% off promo on Just Cause 2.

I posted about a week ago raging about Mafia II's Australian price hike... and have now spotted yet another interesting price for a 'package deal'...

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4365/

In short:
Individual price: $34.98USD

Package price: $59.98 USD
50% off on JC2: -$15.00 USD

Cost to you: $44.98 USD

Anyone else a little disturbed by whoever it is doing the numbers over there in Steam land?
(this isn't the first time I've seen it on Steam, I've just taken it upon myself to try and highlight some of the ridiculousness that goes on there from time to time)

and FWIW you can get the game, strategy guide, and all DLC for ~$39.50USD if you 'buy em all separately' atm.

I'm sure Pinky will sort it all out when they offer him a job.

It's just an error, why do you get worked up about it so much?

Nah it's a bundle deal 'Game + strategy guide'

@greazy
just seems fkn annoying that if they're gonna list a price, they should at least run it at their own prices.... (both items selected individually are cheaper than if bought in this bundle...)

Valve don't set the prices for games, the publishers do.

Like I said it's clearly an error, which they've now fixed.

Cost to you: $29.99 USD
You save: $4.99 USD

I'll do my best.

I'm going to have to write a follow-up letter I think. My employment chances are not looking very positive at the moment.

Well it sounds like you're having a go at Steam, and I don't know if you're aware of this, but Steam was made by (and is operated by) Valve.
