Hoping someone can explain a few things to me... looking at getting a NDSi and using the internet on it, already have adsl connection at home, but not a wirelss connection....

*do i just need to buy a wirelss modem and away i go?
*will i be able to access the internet through my dsi from just about anywhere?
*can you use the internet on the dsi as you would on the pc... for eg. check/send emails, browse website, view youtube videos etc?

....and where do i get a r4 that i don't have to buy online?

Thanks in advance guys

You need to input the encryption details into your ds, but yes - away you go
Within distance from your wireless router, like everything else.
You need internet for ds for you to be able to access the internet.

as for your last question - just wow

You need either a wireless adsl modem/router or a wireless router to plug the existing modem into. You'll be able to connect to it easily like setting up wireless on any PC.

Yes, within range of the wireless router.

No, I don't think you can really do all that stuff you listed. I know the DS/DSlite needed actual browser software, which was also a memory expansion pack that it needs. I don't know the extent of the browsing you could do on it, might not support flash(youtube) but you could probably access webmail and that. I'm not sure if the DSi is also the same or if it's been included.

and R4s you'll have to do some searching. I know you can get them online, but definitely not with preloaded games.

Anyone selling those chips pre-loaded with games is breaking the law. They do have legitimate uses such as homebrew so proceed with caution, but any discussion about piracy won't be tolerated here.

This, is why it should never have games preloaded on it.

it's not your fault, it's very easy to mistakenly pirate something, it happens to me all the time, and it happened to Lilly Allen.
