Hey guys looking for a wee bit of help here.

trying to bind a key in quake 3 to rocket jump for me instead of switching weapons then looking down pressing a button then try to get my bearings as to where I have acctually gone.

So far it looks like this;

seta rocketjump "centerview; cl_pitchspeed 99990000; +lookdown; +moveup; +attack; wait 2; -lookdown; -moveup; -attack; cl_pitchspeed 140; centerview"

Which works fine how ever I also want it to switch weapons as well from my current one to the rocket launcher.

Anoyone know the extra command I need to add on as I have tried a quick google search and havent come up with much, any help would greatly appreciated.

yeah I did have a second command that was

set rjump "weapon 5; wait 7; +attack; +moveup; wait 3; -lookdown; -attack; -moveup; centerview" bind space "vstr rjump"

How ever it didn't change weapon for me at all I would be running along hit space and I basically shot the ground with what ever gun I had selected at the time.

I do remember there being a certain command that did an auto swap for me but I can;t for the life of me remember.

I'll try and find an old cfg that did this but don't hold your breath cause I stopped using it and went manual instead.

ok this used to work:

seta w1 "weapon 1;cg_drawGun 1;cg_drawcrosshair 4;cg_crosshairSize 15;sensitivity 5;cg_fov 120"

ok ive said it.... chub i couldnt agree more.


closest i came to binds was changing fov and sens for diff weapons.

ps can u cg_drawgun 0 in CS:S or similiar cmd.

also how do u eliminate the teammates 'fire in the hole' noise??

Yes it is sleepy but you substitute for whatever weapon you want :)

This is exactly like when trog bound a key in doom2 to do a 180 spin. It's called lazy ass cheating.

Yeah Zy now try all those jumps with self dmg set to normal hurt yourself values... most of those jumps would take to much life/armor to be used in tourney matches.

Python used a RJ script & might be able to help. His was used to RJ forward not straight up however. But i spose you can just edit his if he finds it

Weapon change times make it impossible to make a macro that switches then does a proper rocket jump unless you were running promode or something. Its been a while tho for me.
