Does anyone have any sort of one of these things? I'm thinking of getting some kind of dock thing with speakers in it for work and I'm guessing if I take my ipod into wow or jb they're not going to just let me play with the docks so if you have one: how good is it, how loud does it go and how much did it cost and what model is it?

kthx.

Worst choice ever. Buy a pair of decent PC speakers + an apple generic dock (to get the remote to change songs) + a wall charger.

Plug ipod/iphone into dock, plug your speakers into the dock, grab the remote, sit back and relax and enjoy great tunes with good sound quality for about 2/3 the price. And obviously you can use the pc speakers on your pc or w/e else you have. Cost $170. compare the sound and volume to any ipod dock around that price.

I sell these every day @ JB as an alternative to ipod docks. Only buy the dock if you want an alarm clock to go with it.

cool, I'll check out wow then. Come to think of it, wow are pretty good, when I went looking for digital tv tuners the dude got one off the shelf & hooked it all up to show me.

Plug ipod/iphone into dock, plug your speakers into the dock, grab the remote, sit back and relax and enjoy great tunes with good sound quality

Yeah I don't need or want a remote, basically all I want is a single unit I can plug into, press play and have it going all day just playing away, I won't be touching it again once it's going as I'm always on the move at work (I don't work in an office). There's also enough cables running all over the workshop so a single unit with a single power lead would be ideal.

erm whats a salesmen going to say when you're playing with something you're potentially going to buy

too many people think the store sets the rules, you as the consumer have the choice
if they said can you not play with that i'd just say no worries and go to a store that let me test a product before i bought it

my brother recently picked up a logitech one for our dad when he got his iphone, $60 and sounds fine for his intents
plus its an alarm clock
