I do simple programming of experiments, and now I think "elseif" rather than "otherwise".

I sometimes think in otherwise.
That stackoverflow site is hard to use/read and to decide where to point my eyes. |

There's a lot of people in that thread who must lead very sad lives. I'm a programmer, I did mediocre at uni and are in two rock bands. Win! On topic, some of mine are: • I see file extensions in number plates. • The numbers 1 and 0 mean something different to 2-9 • I like powers of 2, especially 256 • I don't think when calling computer text "strings" to non-programmers • I see GUI design issues, bad UI graphics and bugs everywhere... • I HATE wizard software. |

SO:
I try to compress orders at restaurants by giving all necessary information in one packet. This frequently does not work, because the order taker's task buffer is limited to one piece of data at a time. This constantly gives me grief. thermite have you ever tried to order one of those ultimate burger things from kfc?! Theres too many bloody variables! So i always try zinger burger, wicked wings, large, pepsi? So was that the original piece of chicken or the wicked wings? facepalm last edited by Fizzer at 13:03:38 24/Jul/09 |

Surly you would know that the staff are told they need to try and upsize every order ignoring the customer, sometimes people change their mind and that is why they almost always do it. |

I find myself inventing a lot of words to describe things that the english language just isn't equipped to adequately. Like when you need a past tense verb for Fatality. Like what state is an enemy in once its had a fatality performed on it? That enemy has now been Fatalised. I like it because it conjures up images of a bad 80's wrestling catchphrase.
Another one fresh in my mind is collideable, I've been doing a lot of stuff with physics and collision systems recently and lots of stuff is described as collideable, and until yesterday I didn't realise, collideable isn't even a word. It seems to me like it should be though, its a very useful word. |

In fact, I'd say interfaces in general are the root cause of making "Somethingables". ICanHazable. ha |

i bet they did extremely well at university though I doubt it. The people who do well at University are generally people who understand what their lecturers/tutors actually want from them. As such, they've got to get out and about. You can keep justifying how s***astic you were at Uni and how irrelevant it is to your life, but we all know that: a) You're s***astic. b) Justifying your s***astic lifestyle c) Irrelevant. |

• I see file extensions in number plates. I am guilty of all these crimes. I also think in if/else statements when trying to decide which bus to catch... like if(204bus.arrive == true) I also think in null checks or statements too sometimes... if that makes sense... like "mailbox.mail = null" I also kinda refer to whatever I'm thinking about as "this". So if I'm thinking about a meeting earlier in the day I'll think like "this.boring" or if I try to get a thought out of my head, I'll think "this.close". I'm a c# fan. Oh, and I giggle shamelessly if I see 1337 somewhere, like on a clock or in a phone number. |
