Anyone here used the city cat wireless. With the 'citycatuser' user name you can only access a very limited number of sites. It is through UQconnect so I guess UQ students/staff have full internet access? I have a QUT account. Any way to use that?

am i missing something here? I was thinking of using my QUT login through the UQ wireless into the "eduroam" network of which QUT and UQ are both part of. Thats why I asked if anyone has used it in any way (UQ account or other). last edited by FocaL at 16:20:36 14/Jul/09 |

I've used it briefly, its standard UQ wireless, not an eduroam access point (though I'm not sure if there was an eduroam A/P available). Not that eduroam ever works properly! |

Hopefully once they beef up the fleet they can start with some express services.

Maybe he's really cheap and plans on surfing the internet primarily by swimming next to a citycat with a iphone? :) I'm not in the habit of resurrecting threads, but ... I was cruising on the riverside expressway in my corolla today and saw a citycat hooning along in the middle of the river in the distance - and I remembered this thread. Pulled out my iPhone and did a quick WiFi scan. There it was! Although obviously a weak signal, since it was 200m away: http://homepage.powerup.com.au/~boldajis/images/citycat.png |

Hopefully once they beef up the fleet they can start with some express services. It's because they have to go reduced speeds in certain sections which was brought on when they ran over some school rowing girls and killed one or two? |
