Topic: Something isn't right, Brett Lee taking wickets?

I meant to post this yesterday

Brett Lee had taken 5 for 50 odd off 20 overs.

He's taken another one this morning so 6/63 from 23 overs....

Is he back in form? I watched some of the match, he is getting the ball to reverse so that's a good sign!!

Can't wait till the first Ashes test (I'll be there !@!@!)

p.s. this current match is against the 'English Lions' i.e. second rate team, but wickets = confidence I guess.

God damn, he's gonna get picked. Heaven help us.

I personally would go for Clark, but he hasn't done anything in this game. Nervous about North as well - he's gonna have to make some runs, otherwise Ronald McDonald will have to get a run :(

I am more nervous this time than I was in 2005. Of course back then, I thought we would smash them.

Hes lost it but then again he didnt really ever have it.
When he bowls at 150 hes a good bowler but lately (before his injury) he really could only bowl well early in a test match and then hed get slower and get smacked around coz hes basically speed only.

having said that hes a great team player and does lift the team.
Id always pick him if hes fit.
He can bat a bit too. He played his guts out in the series four years ago but like most of the team hes just too old now.

FFS send Hauritz home on the boat.

Lee Clarke and Johnstone HAVE to play because thats the best bowlers we have.
The rest are crap. 7 batsmen let clarke katich bowl some overs.
Aussies will struggle to bowl out England especially on flattish wickets.

Man of the series will be Flintoff. Hes 100% fit.

14 wickets was the best the aussies could do against an England B side.
They are going to be getting a Lot of bowling practice in this series.

that was a flat wicket. very little to no seam movement. the only way to get wickets was to let the batsmen get themselves out.

Hauritz is basically useless, he hasn't developed as a spinner at all over the last 5 years, he's done nothing new, added nothing to an already small repetoire.

Krezja might not be economical all the time, but he gets wickets, and you can't win matches with out taking wickets.

pretty sure lee had been playing partially injured for quite a while before he finally bit the bullet last year and got it all fixed up

i'm a fanboy, i think he will go well

i really like stuart clark back aswell, he's the most under-rated bowler.

Lee is definately showing some kind of form at the moment, pace is getting back up there.

Is going to be a close contest this time around.

Biggest england factor is how many overs Freddy will stay fit for... and how many bad decisions Rudi Koetzen makes.

I feel sorry for Mitchel Johnson.
Ponting will bowl him till he breaks down.

Well I Guess brett lee made the decision for them, no need to worry about putting stuart clarke in or not, he's in now, and hopefully he does well.

Im just thinking we are gonna get smashed in this series for some reason. We have alot of good players in the team, but nothing like the last series in australia.

Its at least gonna be a tight series, definatly no 5-0 this time.

I just think a team with Krezja and symmonds in it would have been better.
