So I was around Hermi's place the other night, and he had this wicked show on called Deadliest Warrior. A bunch of scientists, doctors, and weapon experts take two warriors from time and analize their weapons, armor and tactics to see who would win. They use full on weapons, as well as modern day forensic equipment to run all their tests, and I can tell you it's wild. The second ep thats out at the moment is Viking vs Samurai, and one of the tests they carry out is laying 4 pig carcasses on top of each other and see how many they can cut with a katana.
Other up comming eps include Knights vs Pirates, Ninjas vs Spartans, William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu, Yakuza vs Mafia. I seriously recommend this series!!!

Ninja's v Spartans???? Sounds like s*** to me considering spartans strength came from fighting in a phalanx. Kind of makes it pretty pointless comparing them 1 v 1 heads up against a ninja. Dare I say it .... apples and oranges.

My money goes on the liger. It's pretty much my favourite animal.

The series is s***. "Oh, let's compare two warriors: One that is technologically advanced, and another that is misunderstood due to bulls*** popular culture and compare it vs another warrior that most people know nothing about and were existent hundreds of years ago." The least they could have done was A) Got some decent historians to teach them what's what about history, and B) use something closer to apple-to-apple comparisons (16c blades vs 10c blades isn't exactly fair)

- Having just re-watched the samurai vs Vikings they also needed: C) Someone to stop sprouting modern revisionist conceptualisations about samurai, D) Someone who knows how to fight with Viking weapons. The show is painful to watch.
