Well I got it and I already have HL2, it popped up and said since I own one of the games already I can give someone else a full copy (of HL2) as a gift now.

I got it on release (I think it worked out to be AU$55 at the time and that was easily the best money I've ever spent on a game, I already had HL2 and EP1. Portal was awesome and I still play TF2 daily, it would have been worth it for TF2 alone, you'd be an idiot for passing this up and should be banned permanently from this forum if you don't.

Yep - View -> settings -> downloads. it's not 100% reliable but will improve your chances.

Apparently Internode don't count data from any Australian content server towards your cap, so even if you get an iiNet or GameArena server, you should be fine.

The way I do it is instead of letting it update normally I double click wahtever game it is and it has a advertising window of whatever server it is updating from.

Ohh cool - double click and got the games.on.net thingy.

another way is go into command prompt and type in netstat
to see all connections.. there should be one that says something like steam1.internode.on.net
