Sony have just confirmed the Australian release date for the brand new SingStar Wireless microphones (RRP AU$79.95) and the new SingStar Pop Edition (RRP AU$59.95) for both PlayStation 2 and 3:

With full focus on the SingStar community, members were asked to trial the new Wireless SingStar Microphones and offer their feedback. An amazing 99% of participants rated their microphones as ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’, while SingStar community member Stuart from the UK said “Wireless Mics kick ass!”

You might remember Stuart from such other Internet comments such as "it sux0rs" and "u r a noob".

SingStar Pop Edition has a bunch of great tracks, including Bon Jovi – Livin’ On A Prayer, Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody, Kings Of Leon – Sex On Fire and The Police – Every Little Thing She Does - amongst others. Check the press release for the full set list and more information.
