Tales of Valor has gone gold and has a release date of April 9th for North America.
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor offers three, intense single-player campaigns, three new multiplayer modes and an innovative “direct-fire” feature that offers an unprecedented amount of control on the battlefield. Scheduled for a nationwide release at all major retail and online outlets on April 9, 2009, Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor will be available as a Games for Windows® PC title for a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Apparently the game isn't getting released in Europe until the end of april. Hopefully that doesn't affect Australia. Checking a few local websites they all say April 9 but I never follow that stuff closely.

This expansion is going to be epic with the additional three multiplayer modes - Some defensive wc3 style vs AI stomp mode, tank battle mode, and hero dota style mode. They all sound really fun and will translate well to CoH. Also there is a massive patch about to be released in time for the expansion (really epic overdue patch).

GameReplays has more details on the MP side of things and the massive patch changelog.

Pretty much quit life for this.

Bit of a coincidence really. I only just installed it yesterday to play a couple of rounds with a friend. I really enjoy Company of Heroes and the Opposing Fronts expansion. I would really like to get it but I'm poor after just buying a car and having to pay to get my Xbox fixed.

I can't remember, is this an expansion or standalone?

Tales of Valor is essentially an expansion. The 2.500 patch for example is 1.5gb to enable existing game owners to play against any new features integrated into the game.

That being said, ToV stands alone and will not require the existing games to play.

Bleh don't install if you want to play online for today and possibly tomorrow. The update hasn't gone live yet so BL to me.

Well, you need to like RTS games. Then you should probably have at least a small interest in WW2. After that playing online is the way to play.

If you still don't like it, then let it go.

Also, if I buy it on steam now, overpriced that steam is, will it be available to me now and not some time in the future?
