Microsoft have revealed a special edition Resident Evil 5 console bundle that will release when the game hits stands this March 13 (Friday). The bundle will feature the game, a red Resident Evil 5 themed console and a matching red wireless controller.
For the recommended retail price of $569, fans can enjoy the same premium Xbox 360 Elite experience for an even greater value with a copy of "Resident Evil 5," matching Limited Edition red Wireless Controller, Xbox 360 Headset, a 120 GB Hard Drive, exclusive premium "Resident Evil 5" theme (download via Xbox LIVE), and more. Supplies are very limited, so "Resident Evil" fans will want to pre-order to avoid disappointment.
If you haven't made the leap to home console yet, this sounds like a pretty good deal, and Resident Evil 5 is probably a good place to start. You can check out more Resi 5 media from our game page.

I say the Halo Edition one was better. However this is still pretty good.

Finally succumbed to jumping on the 360 bandwagon and picked up a shiny new Limited Edition Red XBox with RE5 last night.

My verdict? All sorts of awesome.
I think this is the first time I have actually brought something home for network/online use and plugged it in and connected first go. Really impressed with how easy it was to get online, sign up for XBox Live and start playing.

RE5 is, I have to say, one of the best console gaming experiences in terms of sheer wow factor. It looks great, the gameplay is a good balance of action and problem solving; everything about it is just so good.
Took me about 2 minutes to get used to the controls and I was away, shooting mutant villagers like I'd been doing it all my life. The only reason I dragged myself off to bed at 2am was that I have a meeting at 9am this morning (via phone thank god).
All in all I would highly recommend RE5. It's been a while since a game has grabbed my attention like that.

Also got as part of the package the HD version of SF2 Turbo, which I downloaded from XBox Live. Looks pretty good in HD with all new rendered backgrounds and revamped characters. I must say I have never been a SF fanatic, but this game is good to have up your sleeve for those times you feel like a bit of biff.

The packaage also comes with Halo Wars, but I will more than likely trade this for GOW2. Will give it a go, but RTS games aren't really my thing.

In conclusion, if you ever played any of the previous RE games, I would highly recommend number 5. If anyone has this and wants a game of co-op my nick is YourMumsCuddly.

Easiest way is to just use one of those third party sites like http://www.mygamercard.net/

Hmm HTML codes don't want to work.

Don't know what I am doing wrong, but when I tried to cut and paste the code I got from the site you linked, it just added a ">" to the bottom which was a link to the log in page for mygamercard.net with my details etc

I would have thought cutting and pasting the HTML link would have meant that my gamertag popped up in my sig and hey presto! done. When I hit "submit" to up;oad my new sig the HTML code changes i.e. becomes shorter...is this the problem?

BB Codes are disabled on QGL right?

I don't know it's all a bit odd.

Forum sigs are restricted to a certain amount of characters so maybe your code is going over that and being cut short.

Try just using the img src part and drop the anchor link.

eg: (img src="http://card.mygamercard.net/sig/danj0r.png") (replace brackets with greater than/less than)

gives this:

http://card.mygamercard.net/sig/danj0r.png

I just got RE5 today. Is anyone else having really bad screen tearing issues? The cutscenes look horrible, because the screen is constantly tearing like a motherf***er. Some v-sync wouldn't go astray.

Playing at 1080p, and it's terrible. Mainly in the cutscenes.

Yeah, I haven't noticed any screen tearing at all, I've got mine outputting at 720p though. I tried using 1080p for a while, but it just made too many games look worse imo. I changed it back to 720p back when I was playing Mass Effect and theres no drop in quality at all, makes it look better I found. I think theres something screwy with the refresh rate when its outputting at 1080p cos I found it wasn't as comfortable to look at a game in 1080p, my eyes would get sore. Its probably something to do with how it upscales to 1080p, cos games don't output at 1080p anyway, its just upscaled 720p, maybe something in that process causes the tearing and makes it go to s***.

I suppose I'll try it at 720p then. Is the dashboard rendered at 720p as well?

EDIT: Yeah, setting it to 720p seems to have fixed it.

I did notice a bit of screen tearing in the cut scenes in RE5 but not enough to be overly concerned about.
Overall the graphics are very impressive and I was hooked from the first screen.

Hey Booyaa, yeah I have d/l SF4 but to be honest I am pretty s*** at it. I never really played SF that much (at least not enough to be overly competitive) so I will have to brush up on my special moves etc. I am sure we can find a game I don't suck at to hit up online.
