Hello one and all,

I just moved up to QLD from NSW and am still getting my bearings about the area I'm in (Redlands Shire).

I was wondering if anyone knew any good stores in the area that dealt with Magic the Gathering as well as officially sanctioned game nights.

While I don't play MtG...my friend does. There's a mob in Queen St and there used to be one in Ashgrove. I don't know where Redlands is....sounds far and crazy with this Shire talk.

try down on the old cleveland rd strip of shops opposite the soccer fields, in capalaba. there's a card shop there that deals in those sort of nonsense.

ps Redland is a city.

Redlands Shire is the area south of cleveland, also including Nth Stradbroke Is and those other s***ty islands.

Nah Games Workshop don't sell that, they only sell Games Workshop products.

There is one in Nundah I think ? and one in Ashgrove maybe ?

Redland Shire council became Redland City Council in last years Local Government reform. The majority of their signs/information would still say Shire Council though.

They didn't gain (or lose) any land, it was just a population shift that caused them to move 'up' to City Council.

This is true. Address should be one hundred and something Old Cleveland Rd, Capalaba. It's about 5 doors down from Chemist Warehouse which is 109. I think I've seen some guys in there after hours playing cards/games or something. (They were fully clothed).

While i have been away for a while, i rememer a few places:

1. Strathpine, Lincon Street. Dragon Games - Legacy thur night, Drafting Friday night, Legacy Sat, Drafting Sat night.
2. Nundah. Mind Games - Standard Sat morning
3. Queen Street Mall (near the centre, above some music store) - Standard sat morning
4. Woolongabba, (Across the road from the bus exchange, near gabba) - Standard fri night (very competitive)
5. Sunshine coast, Fastbreak Cards - Sat morning rotational formats (Standard - Extended, maybe even Legacy and T1)

Sorry for not as much details as required, but if you check WOTC website and go from there, a lot are listed and the players will let you know of other places.

There is one opposite the pet store in Carindale, has all of the Warhammer gear in there and a big table for playing the game... never been allowed to venture into the store or I would get into trouble :/.

FastBreak They may have MtG nights, if not they should be able to point you to a good place with lots of info.

In fact they have a MtG tournament of some sort.

Anyone else amazed that a first poster on QGL got help? It's like somebody turned the LHC on.
