Kotaku are reporting that the street date for SFIV has been broken Australia wide and is now available from EB, GAME, JB Hi-Fi etc.

So if you've got it pre-ordered, go forth and pick up!

CD Wow still shows it as 20/02 on PC, trying to email them & see if they're going to bring that forward in line with the broken street date..

is anyone getting the madcatz arcade stick? I would consider one if I was more of an arcade game fanatic but I cant justify 300 bucks for a controller

That's what I thought too - except the way they put it makes it sound like it was a "revised" release date. go figure. Anyway, got the below in my inbox today. No SFIV for me this week, but at least I'll be getting it before June!

Thanks for your e-mail message.

This product was released in the UK yesterday but we will not receive stock into our warehouse until the 20th February. It then takes 24-48 hours for the item to be dispatched, as we need to unpack the shipment and prepare each individual order.

Sorry for the disappointment this may cause – we sincerely appreciate you visiting our site and hope you will return again in the future.

picked it up from JB-Hifi Carindale yesterday for $99, they said over the phone they had heaps in stock. Only reason I know that it was out cause I rang EB yesterday to pre-book it, and they said that it's already out, I was like wtf! They said they had one copy left of the limited edition one for $169, f*** that. Played a couple rounds of it, f***ing orgasmic game.

So does anyone have any advice on a good arcade stick to buy to play this (and other) games? Its something I've been thinking about getting for a while, but now that I'm playing some Streetfighter 4 its been pushed up from "desireable" to "necessary" because the xbox pad is absolutely horrendous to play with.

Anyone got any suggestions? I've done a bit of reading and found a few I like the sound of, accross a few different price ranges, but some trusted QGL opinions on the subject would be handy to have :P

It'd be really awesome if there was somewhere in Australia I could get them from too. After a bit of looking, there really doesn't seem to be much on offer locally, which means ordering from somewhere like Play Asia and having to deal with our crappy exchange rate, as well as pay heaps of postage and have to wait :(

yeah been giving my ps3 gamepad a real workout, can't get past abel on normal lol, f***er just grabs and slams me into the ground everytime he gets close to me, so annoying. I know I suck but was never into original street fighter games, was heavily into Mortal Kombat 2/3... gimme some more prac and I'll get there, but f*** do I need an arcade stick, game will improve immensely!!

You'll be hard pressed to find the Madcatz TE arcade stick anywhere overseas, let alone Australia. Apparently they've only made 3000 and they've been selling like a $2 hookah.

I prolly just end up getting the standard control stick from cdwow for 160, only thing is it doesn't really look that sturdy and I definatly want the fuker to be durable cause i'll be giving it a good workout.

While they're f***ing expensive, the Hori Real Arcade Pro sticks are still the best sticks you're going to buy.

You could always buy a cheap wired pad, and hack it apart to make your own arcade stick.

Looks like it going to be Street Fighter overload this weekend for peepz with PS3's. My copy shipped today so should get it tomorrow but also, just came across this, it's about time SFII HD hit PSN.
