any one know of cheaper than that laptops with hdmi?

When I was looking for a laptop about 6 months ago the cheaper Dell Insipron (was $699 at the time) had HDMI.

I've found these HP's be pretty good. 12" screen, so pretty portable but both VGA and HDMI out + has the X4500HD graphics chipset so has no troubles with 1080 stuff.

I haven't tried any 1080i/p videos but I thought it had more to do with the CPU than the GPU for a good non-glitchy framerate with those

depends if the gpu offloads it or not ^
lappys will cause their gpu is normally pretty crap

high end gpus wont
