Does Bigpond to anyones knowledge cap peer to peer connections? The higheset d/l rate i get is 150kbps. Is adsl2+ on par or > cable? I was just at a mates place with optus cable and he was getting 1.2mb/s for a 300mb printer driver from HP. Also if i have my router firewalled, should i disable windows firewall? I use Utorrent and it is port forwarded correctly! |

Are you sure you have ADSL2+? Sounds like you have adsl1.

I don't get quick speeds with uTorrent on cable and no they don't cap afaik. Try another BT Client. Leave Firewall unless it's blocking the main BT ports like 6881-6889

im using a c10 filter that was bundled with adsl modem should i upgrade this. I showed it to a Telstra techy that came around once and he reckoned it looked like the one they handed out anyway.
