In the wake of last week's Red-Ant issues that saw the distributor not only in financial trouble, but also leaving the distribution of Bethesda, Capcom, Midway and Konami titles up in the air, Atari have today announced they've reformed their partnership with the Metal Gear Solid publisher, to bring their titles into Australia.

Atari and Konami enjoyed a lengthy relationship for years until late last year when it was announced Red-Ant would be handling Konami games in Oz. However, having been placed into administration last week, all of Red-Ant's distro deals have had to find new homes. It's uncertain where Bethesda, Capcom and Midway will end up, though Capcom Europe were very quick to assure us the Red-Ant situation would not affect their intended Aussie release dates.

Once we know where the other cats end up, we'll let you know.
