Long shot here but does anyone know of a site similar to Amazon's Mechanical Turk which offers cash payment to non US citizens?
At the moment it's only available to 'requestors' in the US otherwise apparently you could only obtain payments through gift certificates, which isn't very useful for the Australian based company that i work for. Our data entry staff do a lot of simple reptitive tasks which we could potenially outsource to an open ended market via the web for a fraction of the cost (read: slave labor). I've looked around and found things like gofreelance but it seems very limited compared to Mturk.. Any ideas? |

MatchFixer, sorry not sure what you're saying - are you saying Mechanical Turk is only available to a work pool of people that are in the US? |

MatchFixer, sorry not sure what you're saying - are you saying Mechanical Turk is only available to a work pool of people that are in the US?No workers can be from anywhere around the world, that's what makes it so great. 'Requestors', as called by Mturk, request for jobs or 'HITs' (Human Intelligent Tasks) to be completed by the workers. The requestors need to have a valid US address to be elgible to post up HIT's for workers to complete. The reason for this i assume is due to the complex nature of banks, exchange of curreny etc if they were to be outside of the US. I'll be going through some of the links provided, so thanks, but any other ideas keem em comin! last edited by MatchFixer at 10:45:03 22/Jan/09 |

i hear mturk is good for paying people to positively review your products on amazon. You could use it for all sorts of things. For example, for those that are on boostcruising you'll know you're not allowed to bump up your ad unless it's 3 days old. Well i noticed this one job on mturk where the requirements were you had to create multiple accounts and post comments in his own 'car for sale' thread just so it can be continiously bumped, as a result potentially increasing his chances of selling his car (prolly some r32 s***box) for like 4 cents a hit. There would be plenty more of those hacking/spamming type jobs there too. last edited by MatchFixer at 11:02:01 22/Jan/09 |
