That's the mirror's proximity sensor recessed into the wall. But yeah, at first it looks a little suspect...

back when I was a kid my old man and one of his mates both built us a play house for the kids in both families, we lived nextdoor to one and other etc

it was two stories, had electricity & tv etc
certainly didn't have that sort of detail though
