Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone here is interested in medieval realm battles? We have a group of about 300 who attend the arena each month and either spectate or complete in 1 on 1 or 5 on 5 or even realm vs realm battles. It's basically just some friendly competition for people interested in battling it out medieval style! There are rules as well, and the game is primarily based on honesty.

We do have some gear to hire, however it is preferred you bring your own with your own realm logo. If you do end up hiring, those who hire can either use spare 'hire realm' logos or if you have a friend in another realm they should have spares.

As I previously said, we try to have these monthly in Brighton Park (Google map), starting at around 9am. Our next event will be on 7 Feb 2009. The tents and some shade is provided by the community.

it was the purpose; not at our events. We try to keep our events as safe as possible

our professions vary, you'll just have to come along to see! !

For a person who actually goes around in swords and armour fighting, I'm surprised that went completely over your head.

I've never been shy of the fact that I've done re-enacment. It's a pretty fun hobby and gets you out and about doing stuff that most people will never experience. There's a few members of this board (past and present) who've been involved, including Stinky.

I got involved after doing about 9 years of various martial arts. It's basically as culturally strange as many martial arts groups, except there's also a focus on history and bringing back dead/dying arts.

For the record, even re-enactors think that LARPers (the lightning bolt guy) are strange.
