Kotaku are reporting Electronic Arts have severed their partnership with Brisbane-based Pandemic Studios. Despite buying both pandemic and BioWare at the end of 2007, and beefing up their internal studios, EA are expected to consolidate existing studios and end specific partnerships with a clear goal to release less games for the fiscal 2009-2010 year. It seems Pandemic were among the first to bite the bullet.

According to reports, the studio can hold onto their Intellectual Properties and equipment, leaving them clearly shopping for some new publishing love. As we're based in Brisbane and have a lot of local studio dev members as frequent visitors to AusGamers, can anyone offer any other insight into this situation?
