Dear reader,
We are currently engaged in a very important game of UNO, my german friend here seems to think that you cannot put down two of the same rank card if they are the same colour but he has only read the rules in german! (eg green 7 and a blue 7 if there is a red 7 already on the pile or as initial turn card) Did check google but didnt find the specifics on the issue! Please help prove him wrong ;) Edit: Sorry, I should have been more specific, I meant can one player put down two cards at once if they match correct criteria. Hopefully thats more clear :) |

(example a green +2 and a blue +2 in one go) So a green 2 is on the discard pile, either from the other player or as the inital turn over card. You take a blue 2 and put it on the pile. This is all fine, unless I'm misunderstanding something? Edit: Ah, nope I'm pretty sure it's one card down per turn. Unless the card you put down was a skip or reverse :p last edited by icewyrm at 03:36:09 27/Sep/08 |

and only if you were playing two player.
if its more then two, its only one card per turn. so you'd put your green 7 down and hope its still 7 when it gets to be your turn next. |

On your turn you may place 1 card down, or pick 1 up from the pack.
If it happens to be a two player game, a skip and a reverse will result in the other players turn being missed, meaning you may place several skip or reverse cards in a row, but once you play a non skipping card (eg. a green 7 etc.) it is their turn. You will never be able to play two numbered cards in a row. |

i say you can put all doubles down.
also if someone puts a draw 2 or draw 4 you can put the same card of any colour and it adds on to the next players turn. eg they put down draw 2 you put down 2 draw 2's. they have to p/u 2 from their card and 4 from yours |

1 card per turn.
a skip and a reverse will result in the other players turn being missed While I agree about the "skip", your "reverse" logic is dumb: when playing 2 players, if you put down "reverse" it is still the next person's turn. i say you can put all doubles down. That is a totally retarded rule that is only fun to play when you have 4 - 10 year olds playing. |

The reverse rule is a bit of an issue in 2 player games. Most people play it as a second turn, however as Mr Hardball mentioned it shouldn't be.

1 card per turn, reverse in 2 player means nothing.
