God of War creator and super outspoken game developer, David Jaffe, and Sony Computer Entertainment are being sued over an alleged copyright infringement for the God of War series, according to a report over at GamePolitics.

It's alleged SCE and Jaffe stole the God of War idea from a series of books called "The Adventures of Owen: Owen's Olympic Adventure" (wow, the similarities are uncanny). According to the plaintiff, Jaffe and SCE's God of War series has varying similarities to the Owen work in plot, tone, characters, relationships and even dialogue. They also claim they took their work to Sony and were turned down, only to see GoW arrive some three years later.

Jaffe and SCE are, of course, defending the suit and will also be seeking reimbursement for any legal expenses incurred during the claim.

Yeah usually cases like this are bulls***. It's well known that when you have an idea for something awesome, hundreds of people are having the exact same idea at the same time. This is why every year there are 2 or 3 movies that are almost the god damn same. There is probably some good reason for it if you somehow factored everything in that is happening in the world...
