Does anyone know what the story is with the 24 degrees thing regarding air conditioners?
I think it means that this is a good setting all year round in terms of energy, and comfort.
My gf says this only works in summer, and that 24 is far too cold for winter. I just don't get that, if 24 is good in summer, why isn't it good in winter?

24 on heat setting for winter, 21 on cool for summer. Gotta remember to set it to heat otherwise it will throw out cold air still.

OK I think the question comes down to whether the heating puts out one level of heating, and then stop when it reaches the desired temperature, or does it try to blast out air continuously at the set temperature, therefore setting it higher would actually give you a hotter stream of air?

If its thermostat controlled then it will cut out/turn on the cooling/heating to reach and maintain the desired temperature (24deg) which always makes me sigh when retards don't realise 24 degrees is 24 degrees regardless of if its cold or not.

humidity is why it don't work all year. Less humid in winter means 24 feels cooler.
