Just bought my first place, and am moving in 3 weeks time. Only problem is my lease here isn't up until late Oct.

In order to break my lease early they want another tenant to take over. If not, I keep paying rent till they find someone or my lease ends :(

Here's the ad: http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin/rsearch?a=o&id=403411246

And here's the basics if you don't feel like clicking the link:
$255 p.w.
YERONGA
This beautiful 2 Bedroom unit features:
* large main bedroom
* great size 2nd bedroom
* built-ins in both bedrooms
* very large single car lockup garage
* it has a Foxtel outlet installed
* it is very handy to cafes, shops, and the train station
* it is a short walk to Yeronga Tafe
* it is 4km by bike to UQ
please call our office on 1300 252 121 for the next available inspection time!

I have to talk to them about the ad - it's not actually available now cos I'm still living here! First inspections will be Saturday August 2nd, and will be available as of August 16th.

It's the cheapest 2-bedroom place in Yeronga - how could you say no! :)

(if you do happen to put in an application, then PM me so I know they've had at least one applicant)

So it's not 4km by foot?

Looks like a sweet place. If you had advertised this deally a month ago I would have been hells keen.

I think there's a bike bridge and path but not a foot one... yet.

no, you can walk it. I just figured students would be too lazy to walk that far unless it was to a pub :P

plus, I measured it on my bike, so you might be able to walk a little more direct...

the important bit is that it's not a 4km drive, cos the Green Bridge is useless (it's not even green! :P)

wait, i f***ed up...twice. i thought it was just a room. and i split my room with the missus. so my rents acutally double.

$1200 / £500 a month for a 2 bed is very cheap.

yeah $255 is not bad for a 2 bedroom + lockup garage unit.

location is good too. walking distance to the train station and dominos. what more could you ask for?

£1600 pcm for a 2 bedroom flat, 4th floor. rooms are about 3m x 3m. living room and kitchen aint much bigger. And its a good deal.

Studios around the area where going for £1100 pcm. Good area though.

the man speaks the truth..

I'm paying $300 a week for a s***hole in Holland Park just so I can live in a suburb of Brisbane that I can leave my car parked in the street out the front of my house without being broken in to.

It's going up $35 in 2 months =(

I feel lucky though. the house across the road from me is on the market for $950,000.

He's dreaming. It's been 2 years - it'll be another two.
