Briefly mentioned in the E3 Xbox Media Briefing, the official website for metal legends Metallica has confirmed that more of the bands content will be heading to Guitar Hero.

More than just a featured song or two however, Metallica will be making their entire upcoming album Death Magnetic available for purchase through Guitar Hero 3's downloadable content service on the same day that the album goes on sale later this year. They also intend to offer the tracks for the forthcoming Guitar Hero World Tour - the new game that will introduce drums and vocals to the franchise this holiday season.

im boycotting metalica on the grounds they suck arse now :p i don't mind a bit of enter the sandman but thier last album was more like country & western than metal. i rekn it's indicative that thier sales are going to s*** (coz thier music went to s***) & they got a lot of bad press over the whole napster deal that they choose to release their latest lp through a s***ty game :D

lars is never gonna get that gold-plated poolside bar i guess.

OMG hahahahahh how the mighty have fallen metallic are total s*** these days and they need to make money where ever they can iam sure plenty of people will buy it just to play there stuff but they should have stopped making music after Ride the lightning (IMHO) lars the self absorbed wanker needs to DIAF , i had the misfortune of watching some kind of monster ( no i didn't pay for the privilege )a couple of months back it pretty sums the whole band up pretty nicely. i just cant stand them anymore

3 cheers to Demon amen brother!!!

why do people spend their life complaining about metallica because they stopped people stealing music,
you would be pissed of if someone came in and stole your pc with all your illegal downloads on.

Grow up, appreciate music for what it is, if you havent liked the music since RTL then dont bother watching SKOM dvd.

I dont like that jizzy Z bloke's music so i dont listen to him, i dont slag his music off, and i dont wait in my bedroom with my curtains shut masturbating until some news come up about a band i dont like so i can slag them off.

and for those of you without the knowlage metallica gain most of their money from their live shows.
Its is a shame that so many of the general public lack the work ethic of many of the top bands

Bah, Master of Puppets + AJFA own.

Most of them were alright, bar St Anger and anything else recent.

Would've been cooler if they released it on GH *before* the general release.

So if I play a genuine 'A1' burnt, 'yee har meh heartyz' pirated copy of this game am I guaranteed that Lars will come to my house and beat the s*** out of me and my console?

If not, I cbf.

wouldn't it then make sense to allow your fans to download the singles etc, so they can develop the bloodlust for it, THEN tour?

I'm a massive fan of wierd al, and every time he's in town touring, I'll pay for a ticket to see him live. but I've never bought an album of his. I don't think he's a massive anti-piracy campaigner.
